Flow Cytometry Filters

Types of flow cytometer filters include long-pass (LP) filters, short-pass (SP) filters, fluorescence band-pass (BP) filters, and dichroic mirrors. The working principle is based on measuring the physical or chemical properties (light signals) of flowing cells/particles. Filters, as core components of the optical path, must ensure high throughput transmission and suppression of background noise; and the excitation filters and detection filters must be isolated from each other to avoid interference.
